The image is
not the end.

From an everyday object to a fashion collection. From a generated image to the questions a maker needs to ask.

Fashion sketch with a magenta sculptural headpiece, ivory coat and green velvet details.
Object Couture — from an everyday object to a fashion concept.

Don’t collect tools.
Design systems.

DigFashion explores what happens around an AI-generated image: the observation that starts an idea, the rules that hold a collection together, and the information needed to discuss how a garment might be made.

The presentation follows three connected experiments built in ComfyUI. Inputs, decisions, results and mistakes stay visible, so the process can be questioned, corrected and taught.

Observe

观察
Object Couture look with an ivory cocoon coat, green scrolls and magenta boots.
An object becomes a design language.

Object Couture

Read an everyday object through its shape, material and cultural associations. Translate those clues into fashion concepts, testing how far the idea can travel without losing its origin.

Extend

延展
A look from the Soft Signal capsule collection.
A single look opens into a collection.

Soft Signal

Give the idea a shared vocabulary. The capsule experiment explores how five garments can belong to the same collection while remaining distinct and open to recombination.

Make

制作
Exploratory construction sheet for the ivory coat, with components and material proposals.
The image becomes a construction question.

Production Studio

Break the look into garments, proposed materials, components and assembly ideas. The generated sheets become something to inspect with a maker, including the details that are still wrong.

The mistakes are part of the work.

Rejected looks, unreadable text and incorrect labels are included in the presentation. These are design experiments and exploratory construction sheets: they still need technical validation, material testing and human judgement.

Inside the presentation

The full story, from the first object to the complete workflow. See the experiments, compare the results and look closely at the construction sheets.
